Travel Destinations: Pink Sand Anyone?

Pink Sands Beach, Harbour Island, Bahamas

The sand on this beach is pink. I am guessing a freighter carrying powdered Kool-Aid spilled and wrecked havoc on this marine ecosystem leaving it pink. I could be wrong, but what else would make sense? Okay I'll tell you why it's really pink.  The red shells of foraminifera - single-celled marine animals—mix with the island’s white sand. Red + White = Pink. (Red+White also equal a butt kicking this fall by the maize and blue! You better watch your back Buckeyes!)
